Presidential year 2026

On 10 December, Guy Parmelin was elected President of the Swiss Confederation for 2026 by the members of Parliament. With a record result of 203 votes, the head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER) will become President of the Swiss Confederation for the second time.
